Had the most lovely spring break in Cancún at @majesticelegancecostamujeres 🩵🏝️ it was the perfect break after finishing my thesis and the best way to celebrate my 22nd bday!

I was absolutely amazed by how accommodating they were of my food allergies 🫶 I emailed in advance and met with guest services when I arrived. At every restaurant (and even when ordering room service!), the host would ask if anybody in the party had allergies or dietary restrictions, then wouldnput me in contact with the “food concierge” to discuss options. From making special vegan pancakes and waffles, to cooking french fries in a dedicated fryer, to preparing a vegan hibachi meal so I could have the same experience as my friends, I really felt so touched (and safe!) while on vacation 🤭🥹

Taking a silly little moment to celebrate my silly little thesis 💛🙂‍↕️ many many hours searching through archives and museum exhibits, conducting oral histories, reading and writing in libraries and coffee shops…all led to this, and I am so happy and proud that I finished it 😊

Feels like I lived a hundred different lives in 20

Feels like I lived a hundred different lives in 2024 🌙💌 there was the Oxford study abroad era, the traveling in Europe era, the archival research in Mississippi era, the allergy testing era, the summer in Chicago era, the fall of senior year and thesis writing era…last few weeks have been the R&R with family era 🫶

2024 was a hard year but it was also a fun year, and I’m grateful for all the memories, growth, reflections, new experiences, yummy food, and people who made it special! Thank you all for being here and wishing you a very happy start to the new year 🌟🥂
