Visited Angel Island a couple weeks ago and got to see where my family’s story in America began. I was struck by all the parallels between this history and our current moment…absolutely worth a visit 🤍🌁 we took the ferry, biked around the island, had a picnic lunch, and toured the Detention Barracks Museum and Angel Island Immigration Museum (@aiisforg). Overall, a really meaningful day <3

Kyoto 🌙⛩️🍡 lots of fun exploring the temples, shrines, and historic neighborhoods! Also ate very well :) :) and had a lovely stay at @the_blossom_kyoto. It was hot (!!!) while we were there, but we stayed cool with earlier mornings and evening outings!

Also enjoyed a really sweet collab event @ourmutualfriendsf x @itstiffanytrieu focused on community, creativity, and celebrating the inner child within all of us 🥰

Was listening to @thatpsychologypodcast and learned about micro adventures — I am 100% on board 🌟💛 (“an adventure that is short, simple, local and cheap—yet still fun, exciting, challenging, refreshing and rewarding” -Alastair Humphreys) — I’ve learned that novelty outside our normal routines can do wonders for health, and I think this will be the theme of my postgrad life :) :) here are some from May/June!
