Happy No Kings Day ✊✊ The state of our country – and our world – has been weighing heavily on me. Last semester, I took a course that allowed me to delve into Asian American history from a legal and historical perspective; in my class, we talked a lot about the construction of race and religion, especially in the context of American national identity and those considered enemies. I wanted to share a short paper that I wrote – perhaps offers some historical grounding for all that is happening today.
