Hi everybody; welcome back! This week, I’m going to give you a list of some incredible places that I have always wanted to visit. Chances are, you and your family have already planned your summer trips. However, these destinations should definitely be considered for next year.
1. Australia
I don’t know about you, but Australia has always seemed like one of the most amazing places to visit. The different geographical features—tropical rainforests, glistening beaches, world-renowned snorkeling, vast outbacks, and urban cities—provide so many activities that will suit anyone’s interests. Add in the unique animals, like koalas and kangaroos, and you’ve got a destination that seems almost too good to be true. Of course, because it is in the Southern Hemisphere, Australia’s seasons are completely different from ours. Unfortunately, with the school year’s schedule, our summer vacation coincides with Australia’s winter, and I’d much rather visit somewhere warm. School, however, is definitely not going to diminish my desire to travel there.
2. Athens, Greece & Santorini, Greece
The sparkling blue water and rich history make Greece such an attractive vacation spot for me. Personally, I’ve always wanted to visit Athens because of its sensational landmarks and legacy. The city has been around for centuries, and it still has many ancient buildings, including the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. In addition, I would love to go to Santorini Island because of its crystal clear water and stunning views!
3. Phuket, Thailand
I’m going to Thailand this summer, and I’m super excited about it! The beaches, food, and culture are what made me really want to visit. The island of Phuket is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. Essentially every picture of Phuket looks like it could be on a postcard, with its pristine beaches and radiant sunshine. Phuket also has many other interesting attractions, including temples, museums, and aquariums. My family and I actually won’t be staying Phuket – we’ll be in a different beach town, Krabi, because it will hopefully be less crowded. I’ll try to do a blog post about my trip later this summer!
4. London, United Kingdom
England is an iconic place, and I think that visiting would be such a wonderful experience. Between the famous London Bridge, impressive Big Ben, beautiful Tower of London, and majestic Buckingham Palace, London has some of the world’s most well-known landmarks.
5. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Whenever I see pictures of Dubai, I first notice the skyline. It’s nothing short of magnificent, and I really hope that I can see it in person one day. While I generally gravitate towards places with beautiful natural landscapes, the incredibly unique buildings in Dubai are what I would love to see.
6. Costa Rica
As you may already know, I’m a huge fan of beaches and tropical climates. Costa Rica just so happens to have some of the world’s best. From the waterfalls and national parks to the rainforests and water activities, Costa Rica seems like it would be an incredible place to travel to!
7. Mauritius, Africa
Yet another beach destination. Mauritius is quite honestly the definition of paradise. Its beaches are unbelievably blue and offer a variety of water sports and activities.
8. Iceland
The main reason that I want to visit Iceland is to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in person. I’ve wanted to see the lights ever since third grade, when we started learning about the solar system. The rest of Iceland is also gorgeous, including the geothermal hot springs, waterfalls, mountains, and glaciers.
Thank you for reading; I hope that you enjoyed this post and all of the other previous ones! I’ve absolutely loved creating my travel blog this school year. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to keep it and continue posting in the future if I can switch the blog over to my personal account 🙂 Have an amazing summer, and let me know where you’re planning on traveling to!
